The Daily

• Accepts deliveries from outside messengers, couriers and vendor delivery services.
• Responsible for x-raying/inspecting and redelivering packages and items (including flowers, gift baskets, etc.).
• Inputs delivery information into SendSuite Tracking System, scans packages via handheld Android device and synchronizes to computer.
• Makes deliveries using golf cart, bicycle, or walking.
• Answers phones, handles general customer inquiries and provides other general aspects of customer service.

The Essentials

• Must have a valid Canada drivers license.
• Must have effective communication skills and good follow-through skills.
• Position requires physical exertion such as walking/standing for extended periods, climbing stairs, lifting/maneuvering of materials weighing 50+ lbs.
• Background must demonstrate good customer service orientation, professional phone manner, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
• Must be able to time manage and work independently.

Full Job Description

Drives the company van for various pickups and deliveries locally throughout our vendor base. Receives, stores and issues material, supplies, merchandise and completes stock records and receiving reports.

What we want to accomplish:

• Counts, sorts or weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on purchase orders.
• Stores items in bins, on shelves or on floor in accordance with established location guidelines.
• Fills orders (supply requisitions) from items in stock.
• Receives all incoming mail.
• Enters all receipts in Log Book.

Notify requisitions when merchandise is received and ready for pickup and/or delivery.

• Responsible for proper data entry.
• Responsible for picking up parcel post.
• Any other duties that may be assigned by the Outsourcing Lead Person or the Purchasing Manager.

Education

• High school diploma/GED equivalent suggested

Physical Requirements:

• Finger agility is required for operations of computer keyboard and adding machine
• Ability to travel around the office and the factory briskly, several times a day
• Must have 20/20 or corrected vision.

Conditions of Employment
